This book is in NEW condition and was was purchased new by me at a aces dinner and book signing in Tustin, California in 1992. It is in new condition, never read and stored since purchase. It tells the story with words and pictures of the P-38 and its pilots and missions. This book traces the history of Lockheed's P-38 Lightning fighter plane, and provides a detailed look at the restoration of one of them. It also illustrates with pictures and words the restoration of the classic American warbird P-38
