MEMPHIS BELLE
MEMPHIS BELLE
The story of the Memphis Belle, her remarkable skipper and his crew, made this a readily collectible aviation art print worthy of any collection. The crew of the Memphis Belle were the first to complete a full tour of 25 missions without losing a crew member. This in a theatre where up to a 1/3 of bombers over Europe were being shot down and many more damaged with injuries.
This is a first edition print by Robert Taylor titled Memphis Belle signed by Memphis Belle’s Captain, Robert K Morgan, Colonel U.S.A.F. (ret.) who after the war retired a Colonel. This was an early painting of Robert Taylors and Colonel Morgan met with him to offer technical details of this famous bomber.
