In the summer of 1944, President George HW Bush was a Lieutenant flying TBM Avengers with Torpedo Squadron 51. His air group was assigned to the light aircraft carrier San Jacinto in intense combat operations in the South Pacific. The painting depicts Bush and his squadron returning to their ship after a combat strike. They are holding overhead waiting their signal to come aboard.

This is a limited edition print by Robert Taylor titled Low Holding Over the San Jacinto with signatures. This fabulous print is double matted and professionally framed in a cherry frame with gold details and badges framed. This is print 753/1000 and it has George Bush’s signature and nine other aviators.
